Silly man Seth

Seth is such a nut. He is always doing things to make us laugh. A few nights ago when he was getting ready for bed he started being silly. He was getting his jammies on when he said "hey mom, look at me." I think the pictures speak for themselves. Eric and I were laughing and of course he started laughing too. He then had to tell us jokes. That is his latest thing: jokes. He makes up some pretty good ones I must admit.

Cool dude Luke

A couple weeks ago I decided the boys should see the eye doctor. She had told me to bring Luke in when he was around nine months old. And of course I listened to her advice and brought him in when he was 14 months old. Anyway, they both did really well with their first eye exams. Luke got his eyes dilated and received some cool glasses! He actually wore them on the ride home from the eye doc (in Sunny Brae) and wore them in the house for a few minutes. Then he got irritated with them and took them off. Soon after that he fell asleep. I thought he looked so cute in those ridiculous glasses that I wanted to share.

Goofy boys (or mommy)!

I was goofing around with the boys this morning and I put my hair towel on Luke. I was laughing so hard. Seth thought it was funny too and wanted to wear it also. Seth looks especially cute since he dressed himself. I love my boys. They are so much fun. Cara told me a funny story about Seth this morning too. He was talking to her on the phone and he said: "Aunt, did you know Gottschalks is running out of business. Just like Mervyns ran out of business." I thought it was cute. Today I took Grammie to the mall with the boys. When we were leaving and in the parking lot we heard the USCG helicopter. It sounded like it was really close and hovering quite low. Seth wanted to see it, but there were a lot of trees between the mall parking lot and the bay where I assumed it was hovering. I drove around the parking lot looking for it. I even went down to the beach area behind the mall. We had no luck locating the helicopter. Grammie wanted to go to Mike's to get a drink and share some fries. So off we went down Broadway. Anyway as we were driving I had a thought (yes, I have them): maybe we could see the helicopter from the dock at the foot of Del Norte Street. I asked Grammie if she minded going on a helicopter chase. She thought it was fun because Seth was getting such a kick out of it. Well, we drive down Del Norte and Grammie says she sees it and I'm like "where?" My grammie is so funny because she said right where my finger is pointing. If I would have been looking in the right direction I would have seen the darn thing plain as day. I parked and let Seth get out of his seat and climb up front with us. I think the Coasties were doing drills. Seth got to see the rescue swimmer go into the freezing bay and then be pulled back up. He thought it was great. Luke slept through the whole excursion. I am glad we got to make some memories with Great Grammie today. Seth kept saying "Hey, Great Grammie did you see . . . hey Great Grammie . . . " So precious.

My favorite Easter pictures

So we went to Debbie and Willie's for Easter brunch after church. We had a family picture taken and then we ate. Luke was tired so he napped while the Easter bunny came and hid eggs. Seth had a solo egg hunt. Then, once Luke was awake, the Easter bunny came again to hide the eggs. Seth had left them outside in his basked just in case the E B might come back. Lucky for him, and Luke, the eggs were hidden again and again. Here are my favs.

The dog pile

The take down

The beginning of the dog pile

More kids joining in

Success, they got us

Taunya and Lewis recovering

Yesterday we celebrated Seth's fourth birthday. He wanted to have his party at our house and of course we accommodated his request. There were 18 children at his party and all the family too! We had a bounce house and all the kids had a blast. My cousin Lewis got in the bounce house with the kids. He was having so much fun I decided to join him. Well, the first thing he did was take me out. How rude, but fun. Everyone was trying to knock him down unsuccessfully. So, I, of course, take it upon myself to take him out. I tried, but he is bigger than me and I, too, was unsuccessful. I decided to get Emma (Lewis's daughter) to help me. He started to throw both of us down, but I managed to somehow take him down with us. Well, that did not turn out to be the best plan. While we were on the floor of the bounce house all the children thought it would be a great idea to dog pile us. It was very funny. Lewis and I totally felt like kids again. Here are the pictures of the kiddos getting us!
